The title stretches the truth somewhat as you can hardly see Sandwick at all, but it is there nestled in the valley by the shores of Ullswater. Across the water on the left is Gowbarrow Fell, famed for the daffodils which inspired the poet, Wordsworth. On the left are the slopes of Sleet Fell, and on the right Hallin Fell. Great Mell Fell is on the horizon on the right.
