This is one of the most breathtaking views in Lakeland, particularly for those slogging their way up the slope from Honister Hause, who come upon it suddenly. This is my fourth attempt at getting a picture for this web site but I have been thwarted by poor weather on each occasion. This is the least unsatisfactory shot, and it does give some impression of what the view can be like. Skiddaw appears in the distance through the murk, Causey Pike and Rowling end are on the left and Maiden Moor on the right.
