Broad Stand looks so easy an ascent that it has lured many a walker, and too many have not lived to tell the tale - it is for climbers only. The path to Lord's Rake goes off to the right from the base of Broad Stand. For the Foxes Tarn route the main path turns to the left from Mickledore at the left-hand edge of the picture.
