On the horizon on the extreme left lies Illgill Head then Yewbarrow in the middle distance and Whin Rigg appears beyond the gap of Dore Head. Red Pike is largely obscured by the great bulk of Pillar. To the right of Pillar lie Great Bourne, Starling Dodd, the other Red Pike, High Stile, and High Crag. The summits of Grasmoor and Eel Crag are obscured by cloud but Sail is clear. Scar Crags is largely obscured by Robinson. Skiddaw is hidden in cloud beyond the gap between Robinson and Hindscarth but Haystacks appears in the foreground. The dark shape of Fleetwith Pike can be seen to the right of Haystacks and Dale Head beyond and to the right. Through the gap, on the horizon, are Great Dodd, Stybarrow Dodd and Raise. Closer to and completing this panorama are Grey Knotts, Brandreth, Green Gable, Great Gable and the twin summits of Kirk Fell. Larger version of this picture.
