Blencathra is seen here over Clough Head. The three central spurs are, from the left, Gategill Fell, Hall's Fell, and Doddick Fell. All three provide excellent ridge routes to the summit - a link to details of the Hall's Fell ascent is provided below. A few pockets of snow are evident near the summit ridge. Blease Fell, on the far left, and Scales Fell, far right, provide more gradual ascents and excellent descents. Beyond the summit ridge, between Hall's Fell and Doddick Fell tops, the summit of Foule Crag, the rear part of the "Saddle", is seen. Sharp Edge is hidden behind the top of Doddick Fell and a bit of Bannerdale Crags is evident to its right. Larger version of this picture..
