Another reason for visiting Latrigg is this excellent view towards Bassenthwaite Lake. To the left and beyond the lake are Lord's Seat and Sale Fell; and to the right the prominent afforested top of Dodd is seen. Further to the right are the lower slopes of Carl Side with a clear path going up from the hamlet of Millbeck. The village of Applethwaite is closer and Ormathwaite just below.
