To the left lie the Glenridding Screes and southeast ridge of Sheffield Pike running down to Glenridding Dodd. Ullswater zigzags its way towards Pooley Bridge at the far end. On the right, in the middle distance are the fells of the Roman road, High Street, running down from Loadpot Hill to Bonscale Pike.
